Fall is finally here, which means one thing: it’s football season. With Carolina’s favorite pro and college football teams being so close to us in Clinton, it’s likely a lot of us will be out tailgating this autumn. To make the most of your experience, follow these tailgating tips at the next big game:
- Plan ahead. Make sure you pack everything you need—and it’s not just food and beer. You’ll also want to pack lots of ice (and other beverages to stay hydrated), paper/plastic plates and utensils, trash bags, sunscreen, blankets, jumper cables, and a first aid kit.
- Get there early. If you want a prime parking spot, you’ll have to wake up early to beat the crowds. Look for a spot near grass at the end of a row. This will give you space to play games, pull out the grill, and relax.
- Support your team. Wear your team’s colors, decorate your space, and fly your team’s flag. Tailgating is all about supporting the team you love.
- Keep it clean. Not only should you thoroughly clean up your area before heading into the stadium for the game, but also keep your behavior clean. Remember, there are families at these events, so watch what you say and what you do at all times.
