The Nissan GT-R is no doubt an impressive car. Costing less than $100K, it is one of the least expensive supercars in the world. It is crammed with so much technology and horsepower that hardly anything on the road can keep up with it. Off the factory floor you get a twin turbo, 3.8 Liter V6 with 545 horsepower that can do 0 – 60 in 2.8 seconds and hits a top speed of 195 mph. But for some (crazy) people, that just isn’t impressive enough.
The tuners at AMS Performance wanted to see just how fast they could make a GT-R go. They reckoned that with the right tweaking and upgrades, they could create the world’s fastest Nissan GT-R. And they did! After one world record breaking run, the AMS “Alpha Omega” GT-R was set up to produce 1250 horsepower through all four wheels. The results were nothing short of incredible, with the GT-R topping out at 233.1 mph. After the driver pulled the shoot and hit a bump at the same time, things got a little scary. Don’t worry though, everything worked out. The video below shows both runs and the crazy, accidental drift at the end.
