The Tokyo Motor Show is one of the largest stages in the world for automakers to reveal new vehicles along with concept vehicles that show off their design chops. This year is no different, especially for Nissan as they put their best foot forward and show off what the future of automotive design could look like.
In order to show what the automobile of tomorrow could look like, Nissan has put together two IDx concepts. The IDx NISMO is enthusiast inspired with bold graphics, aggressive styling, side-exit exhaust, and mock-riveted fender flares. The IDx Freeflow is styled more like a cruiser. The Freeflow has a more subdued, tan and white color scheme with retro looking four-spoke wheels. Whichever concept you prefer, it’s hard to deny the strong influences of classic cars like the original Skyline GT-R (and muscle cars of that era) that are evident throughout both concepts.
