Recently, Nissan has announced the new Nissan Mobility Assist Program to help drivers with a physical disability in purchasing a new Nissan vehicle. Under this program, Nissan will offer up to $1,000 of reimbursement for drivers to install qualifying adaptive equipment to their new vehicle. This includes modifications such as hand controls, left foot accelerators, seats that turn, wheelchair/scooter lifts, and more.
“Nissan Mobility Assist allows us to further broaden the appeal of an already diverse product lineup and truly live up to our corporate motto of ‘innovation and excitement for everyone,'” said Fred Diaz, divisional vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing. “By helping defray the costs of medically necessary upfits, we’re increasing the mobility of our customers nationwide.”
Reimbursement can be issued to any new Nissan vehicle, purchased, financed, or leased, as long as it is installed by a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration registered installer within 6 months of purchase or lease.
