Nissan’s quest to provide visitors of their exhibit at this year’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit a new, memorable experience definitely succeeded. Auto enthusiasts continue to rave about the unique, interactive futures the Nissan exhibit displayed at the show. All senses including sight, smell, sound and touch were embraced as visitors checked out the new vehicles and innovative ideas Nissan had to offer.
The Nissan exhibit that was on display for this first time during this year’s auto show in Detroit featured amphitheater-style stage surrounded by a glowing red halo. Their new “Innovation that Excites” brand image was apparent through the multi-level flooring for vehicle displays and interactive exhibits. An “Innovation Wall” located at the back of the exhibit featured six interactive screens powered by Xbox Kinect technology to communicate Nissan’s brand story with visitors.
New to the Detroit Auto Show this year is the use of scent in the Nissan exhibit. In order to appeal to all customer senses, a distinctive fragrance of green tea was periodically released into the display area. This was paired with mood-setting background music to serve as a calming environment for customers. The scent and music changed throughout the day to portray different vibes depending on the time of day.
